Waste Management Program

SDC, in collaboration with Faridpur Municipality and Practical Action Bangladesh, has been transforming city and kitchen waste into bio-fertilizers, promoting sustainable agriculture and a cleaner city.

Compost Research & Training Centre (CRTC)

The CRTC is an integrated waste management initiative collaboratively led by Practical Action Bangladesh and the Faridpur Municipality.

E-Cooking Solutions

SDC is embarking on a transformative journey to revolutionize cooking practices in Bangladesh. By promoting cleaner and more efficient cooking solutions, this initiative aims to address the pressing health and environmental challenges associated with traditional cooking methods.

(FINISH Mondial)

The FINISH Mondial project, implemented by the SDC with support from “Practical Action Bangladesh” and funding from the “West Netherlands.” It aimed to achieve sustainable WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) and waste management services in Faridpur and Satkhira municipalities.

Water Credit Adoption (WCAD)

With the financial and technical support of the Institute for Inclusive Finance and Development (iNm), the Society Development Committee (SDC) has been commencing the Water Credit Adoption (WCAD) project in 17 districts through 103 branches. 

BD Rural Wash

Access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) is vital for development, yet rural Bangladesh faces inadequate WASH services despite economic progress. Addressing SDG 6, the Society Development Committee (SDC) has implemented the Bangladesh Rural WASH for Human Capital Development (BD Rural WASH for HCD) Project since 2023 in Manikganj, Rajbari, Magura, and Jhenidah.
